How we'll support you
We'll be there to support you throughout your volunteer journey
How we can support you
We welcome volunteers of all ages, backgrounds and experiences, and we want to make sure that our volunteers reflect the unique and diverse community we support. Volunteers support us at different stages in their life, and we celebrate the diversity in our team.
We want to know how we can best support you while you volunteer with us, so if you would like to speak to a member of the team, please call 020 8946 0735 or email volunteer@wimbledonguild.co.uk.
Getting to know you
Please do let us know about any cultural or support needs, medical conditions, or allergies that you think would be beneficial for us to know. Volunteers are at the heart of what we do and where required, we will make reasonable adjustments to make sure that you have an enjoyable and rewarding volunteer experience.
Point of contact
To make sure that you’re supported and confident in your role, you will be assigned a Wimbledon Guild staff member, who you can contact if you have any questions, concerns, or suggestions. Throughout the year, they will check in to see how you’re getting on and if you’re happy in your role.
Training and information sessions
While you volunteer with us, we want to make sure that you have the training to fulfil your volunteer role to the best of your ability. We host compulsory safeguarding training and provide information sheets, where you can enhance your understanding of topics such as Dementia Awareness, Mental Health Awareness, or Stroke Awareness.
