Counselling service for refugees
Free counselling service for refugees in Merton
Our free counselling service for refugees is designed to give those who have been displaced a safe, supportive space to discuss difficult emotions and feelings.
To be eligible for this service you have to meet the following criteria:
- You must be over 18
- Live, work or study in Merton borough
- Need help with mild to moderate mental health issues
- Be able to attend weekly sessions at the same day and time
- identity as a refugee
You’ll receive up to 16 sessions with a qualified counsellor who has experience in working with refugees. The counsellor will not give you opinions or advice but will support you to come up with your own ideas or solutions.
Counselling sessions will take place at Wimbledon Guild in Wimbledon or WG Morden in Morden. These are offered in partnership with the National Lottery's Community Fund.
